Hopefully the eventual new release will solve your problem. They are working on a new beta version of the software, which I've been invited to test out several times but don't want to risk my trees. You may think you have all media downloaded but I would double check it

If FTM software doesn’t do that please advise – because by the way – FTM tells me I am synced with all media and when I double check the numbers I am missing 5,000 to 15,000 documents! You all should check your numbers too. What is it going to take for me to accomplish something so simple, so basic, that I shouldn’t have to read documents on line. My mission is to down load two trees from ancestry with all the media I have in the ancestry gallery – documents, photos, stories etc. Can’t do it – can’t change it.ĭo you think FTM software will let me change the location? No.ĭo you think FTM is easy use and intuitive? No. FTM doesn’t give me an option to change to location just the classic, endless FTM loop from hell. I’m happy to have these files anywhere but on my desk top.

Went to download my two trees from ancestry and I was told I couldn’t save my files where I wanted to because I don’t have permission. Waited all day to get the green light to download (I know an problem) Yesterday I finally deleted FTM software, all folders, all files and did a reinstall - all because FTM software isn’t syncing ALL of my media files. When I use their chat line, they give me a suggestion to try, I try it, it doesn't work - day 4 of no results. I am being stopped at every turn by FTM software.
